Rose McGowan

  

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born on 5 September on 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan made her film debut in 1992 in Encino Man (1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her role in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakthrough role was in the horror film Scream in the year 1996. The film was followed by films Jawbreaker (1999) and Devil in the Flesh (2000). In the decade 2000, McGowan became known to television audiences for her role as Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). Quentin Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006) which was the film where she was awarded the Saturn Award for Best Actress as well as the Scream Award to Best Scream Queen. Her debut album, Planet 9, was released in the year of 2018. It was followed by a new version of Planet 9 in 2020. McGowan was named one of the Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine. This honor recognizes McGowan's work in the field of sexual harassment and assault especially with regards to Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual abuse and the Me Too movement. Brave is her autobiography. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both of these were released in the year 2018.
